I am a 58 year
women, I was diagnosed with Behcet's Syndrome in 1972 at National Institutes
of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. I was 32 at the time.
Before I was diagnosed I was a mess. I was admitted to the hospital about every
other month. I was fed intravenously, because I was not able to eat. After I
was diagnosed, I was on a prednisone therapy. I'm still on prednisone 2 mg daily.
Now not only do I have Behcets, I also have Arthritis and Fibramyalgia. I don't
know any body else that has Behcets, so I don't know what to compare it with.
My Behcets was mostly blisters in my mouth, I was really careful not to get
them in my eyes.
